You may be asked to come back for a callback. We will have you come to the school on November 14th from 1:45pm-4:00.
Please take time to go through ALL the information listed below. :)
Video Requirements:
Video must be uploaded to the Audition Form HERE (by November 7, 2025 11:59 PM):
Please include your child’s name in the FILE name of your video. Ex. EmilySummerhaysAudition.
Video should begin with an introduction (see General Audition Info below).
Be sure to include your monologue: See the appropriate audition materials page where you will find specific short options for you to memorize. Choose one or two and have fun with it! You may perform a second one for another character if you’d like.
For extra credit, you can try an English or German accent with your monologue/song. Make it fun!
If you would like to be considered for a singing role; Please choose a song from the audition materials page. Sing the selected measures shown in the sheet music. You will need to audition with the Performance Tracks. We want to hear you not the recorded voices!
Have fun!!! If you want (although not required), add choreography!
If you have extra time, show us any of those special skills you may have mentioned on your form (tap, tumbling, dance, etc).
Auditions videos need to be limited to less than 3 minutes to avoid uploading issues. If you need to, you can attach a second video.

General Audition Info/Tips!
We want you to know that every single one of you will play a special part in this production! We hope to cast as many kids as possible, if not all kids that try out! All parts are so important to the show! We do our very best to be fair while casting who we think will be the best fit for each part. Some of the most fun experiences in theatre happen in the ensemble, so we hope no matter what role your child gets, they will come help us create the magic together!!
What should my audition video consist of?
State your name, grade and what songs you will be singing and what parts you will be reading.
Then read/perform up to two of the listed monologues. You do not have to be memorized but be familiar enough with the pieces that you can add character and personality to them. Bonus points if you can do any english accents!!!
Finally sing your selected song(s) with the provided performance track (not the guided-we want to hear YOU).
Keep video to less than 3 minutes.
How can I have a good audition video?
Speak/sing with expression
Practice so you don’t just stare at the paper for the words.
Look at or over the camera so we can see your facial expressions.
Use gestures with your body, hands, arms head, eyes etc.
Act confident- fake it if you need to😁 nerves are totally normal but show us that you can work through them!
Research the show through videos or recordings to get a better idea of how the character sings and speaks but don’t be afraid to make the character your own.
What does the audition committee look for when assigning parts?
Ability to sing
Ability to act
Ability to dance
Ability to speak clearly and with volume
How well does the child get along with others, listen to directions etc (if we’ve worked with them before, or if we see them at callbacks)
What is a callback?
A call back is when we ask you to come to the school in person because we need to see more from you. Not getting a callback, does not mean you won’t be in the show or that you won't get a part.
We will have you come to the school on November 14th from 1:45pm-4:00. We will split you into two groups. One group will learn a short dance and the other one will sing and read a few lines. Then we will switch groups. We want to see how they interact with each other too. We do not expect perfection, and it should be fun learning experience for them! Parents will not be allowed in (it distracts the kids too much), so plan to pick up your kids at 4.
