Why is the musical before Halloween this year? And Mandatory dates before and after Fall Break?
We have recieved some feedback from the principal and the teachers that they would like us to be done earlier in the school year and not have the show in the spring. We understand that there really is no good time in order to be able to please everyone. We are hoping this year our schedule will turn out great and that we can continue doing this in the fall. I(Tammie) have some conflicts that doesn't allow me to participate any later than Oct. 31st. For the month of November, I help out at Davis High School with their Fall production as well. We also use some of their equipment and have a few of their students come run our sound. There are so many factors that go into choosing a show and being able to accomplish everything. We are so sorry if this timing excludes some to participate. IF you have a vacation during fall break week; please reach out to me. We will find a way!!
What if my parents work and can't volunteer to help?
We understand that some people can't help as much as they would like. We do expect everyone to reach out to us, and let us know if you have a circumstance that prevents you from helping. We will work with you and always have lots of little jobs that can be done easily. But all parents are expected to help in some way. We can always find something for you! Parent help is THE BEST help. Please call me if you are in this situation; we would love to have your child participate with us!
Do I have to buy a script? How much is it? Is it included in our registration fee?
No! If you are a lead part we will provide a script for you. We give these out on an as needed basis. If you are in the ensemble and would still like a script, please reach out to a member of the production team, and we can see if we have any extras available.
Do I have to buy a shirt? How much is it? Is it included in our registration fee?
No you don't have to buy a shirt but unfortunately it is NOT included with registration! The shirts are just a fun way for the kids to bond as a cast. Shirt costs differ due to inflation, but we expect a shirt to be within the $15-20 price range. More information will be posted on this soon.
How do I sign up for the text reminders?
All you need to do is send a text message saying: @snowhorse to the number 81010
I can also add you with your email if you really can't figure it out. Send an email to snowhorsemusicals@gmail.com to let us know if you require additional help.
What does it mean when you say CALLED in your messages?
This means that their character is expected to show up that day for that rehearsal. We are calling them to rehearsal. It Does NOT mean that we have called those characters on the phone to tell them. :)
Are Rehearsals Required? What if we miss?
We ask that you tell us when you have conflicts BEFORE we post the cast list (August 22nd). Do not be afraid of telling us about your conflicts - we do our best to plan the schedule around them so that the kids stay caught up. IF for some reason you are absent for sickness, WE need to know before rehearsal so someone can video what is being taught to be able to send it to you. IF it is something that we will be working on a a few rehearsals; you may not have homework or a video sent to you. BUT we do ask that you communicate with us!
If you need to communicate to us that someone won't be at rehearsal; text us. You can send an email; but we won't get it until after rehearsal. The best way of communication is:
Text-USE the Remind text thread or Text Tammie Directly (801)631-7967 both will go to Tammie
Email-Snowhorsemusicals@gmail.com
Will there be an email sent out with the weekly schedule?
NO!! We have decided to try and lessen the amount of emails you will receive. We are hoping this will be a good solution and a quick way to get the information you need. We will instead post the schedule on our website each week.
If you don't find what you are looking for here on the website, you are welcome to email us at snowhorsemusicals@gmail.com. IF there is specific information we need to get out to a certain cast or a certain person, we will email them directly. All reminders will be through the Remind App.
The only emails you will recieve will be your VIP tickets
What if I have to miss rehearsal because I am sick?
We actually do not want you to come and share your germs with other kids. It is important to attend as many rehearsals as possible - especially since we are on a condensed/accelerated schedule-but please do not come to rehearsal if you have a fever or any other contagious symptoms. We will do our best to put things on the website so that you can catch up and practice when you are feeling much better. Rest up and stay hydrated!!! Please just let a member of the production team know if you will not be at practice that day.
What if I am sick for the performance?
We certainly hope this is not the case, but sickness does happen sometimes. Every character has a counterpart in the other cast. If you are sick and/or unable to attend a performance, your counterpart will fill your role and we will miss you GREATLY! If this happens your counterpart is not required to give you one of their performances. Performances are mandatory UNLESS you can not attend due to quarantine or sickness.
What if I have a concern about something that has happened at rehearsal?
Please come and talk with us if there is something that has happened for sure! We need to be aware of these situations so we can help and make changes. But you may also go to Dr. Talbot as well.
