Registration Form and Fee, Scholarships (fee waivers) & Audition Videos open July 1st are due by Saturday, Aug. 1!
REGISTRATION FORM/CONTRACT: This year our registration form is attached to your registration payment in our pta store. Please visit https://snowhorse.givebacks.com/shop to fill out your registration and secure your child’s spot in the production ASAP. There will be boxes to check at the end of the registration that represent your signature. If you have any further questions about this contract, please feel free to reach out to a member of the prodution team. You will also pay your registration fee at that time.
FEES: All fees will be paid through our PTA Store
$50 registration/participation fee ** (All leads who get a speaking part; will receive a script at no additional cost. If we have extras; they will be first come, first serve).
$15-$20 - Alice in Wonderland Jr. Musical T-Shirt (not required). This is an estimated cost and may change. More details later. TBD.
**FEE WAIVERS: If you feel this is too much for you to afford, we gladly offer confidential scholarships or fee waivers. You simply need to reach out to Dr. Talbot, our Principal, and she will add your child to the PAID list. We do not want the fees to be the reason your child does not participate! We want EVERY child that wants to participate to have the chance! You will then register with the fee waiver form online.
AUDITION VIDEOS: These need to be attached to the audition Google form found on our website snowhorsemusicals.com. Please see the very specific instructions for auditions on our website.
If you want to be considered for a role with a singing solo, you MUST submit a song in addition to your lines. If you are not comfortable having a singing part but would like to be considered for a speaking role, you still must perform a monologue or two of your choice. There are several parts that do not require strong singers or singers at all. We want to see what you can do. You may add a little bit of your tumbling, dance or tap! We want you to know that every single one of you will play a special part in this production! *If you experience any difficulties accessing the music or knowing when to begin singing with the performance track, please email us. We are here to help!
All payments are non-refundable once the cast list has been posted. Cast Lists are Final. Switching will not be allowed; no exceptions!
PARENT VOLUNTEERING: All parents will be expected to volunteer! This show can not run without the help of EVERYONE. If your child is cast as a lead in the show, know that you will be expected to be a lead volunteer. You will be trained with the kids you will be working with during the performances. There are LOTS of pieces to this production, and we can always find something for you to do!
BACKGROUND CHECK: Volunteers will need to have a district background check completed as well. This can be taken care of at the district offices in Farmington. We need to be very strict on who is in the building at any given time. THERE WILL NOT BE ANY YOUNGER SIBLINGS ALLOWED. We understand that there will be those of you who have work conflicts; we will be able to find a way for you to contribute (These special circumstances need to be approved by the Production Team ASAP. Please talk with Tammie Balls).
ATTENDANCE: Your child will be expected to be at EVERY rehearsal & ON TIME when they are called. If your child has a prior conflict; make sure you have marked those spots on the Registration Form; we will take that into account when assigning their roles and performance times. Please be aware that after Sept 8; any absences not previously approved may result in their role being given away. We understand that this may seem harsh; but absences that we are not prepared for negatively affect the entire cast for that day. We want you to understand that we need your child available for all performance times of both casts. In the event that a child ends up being sick and unable to participate; we will be asking the other cast with the same character to fill in for those performances. We hope that this does not happen; but we need to be prepared. WE HAVE A NEW POLICY that needs to be addressed. School attendance needs to be a priority, especially during the crazy weeks of Tech/Dress rehearsals and performances. IF your child does not attend school during the day, they will not be able to perform in the evening. School attendance is our first priority and is necessary for you to be able to participate.
We CANNOT allow children to participate who have regular morning commitments (with the exception of the Snow Horse Orchestra and Hope Squad). Please talk to us if you have any questions.
Each child will also be required to attend all dress rehearsals and performances for their cast. We will not allow any switching of performances. If you know you already have a conflict for all those required dates; this may not be for you this year.
CELL PHONES/WATCHES ARE NOT ALLOWED AT PRACTICE! This is breaking a school policy as well as ours. If a child needs to call a parent, no problem. Just let us know and make your call. Otherwise, student cell phones MUST remain in their backpacks. We have very limited time to teach the kids and we need their full attention.
FOOD AND DRINKS (other than water) are not permitted in the gym. Please make sure your children eat breakfast before the morning rehearsals as they will not be allowed to leave to go eat in the cafeteria.
HOMEWORK Because we are condensing our rehearsal schedule, we ask that you help your kids practice at home. If your child is a lead, they will be required to have all lines MEMORIZED by Sept 28!!!! They may need help at home, so please run lines with them and help them access the music and dance videos on our website.
VIP TICKETS: VIP tickets will be assigned after all volunteer spots are filled. Each family will receive 2 free tickets to the show on either the front row or the second row to one of the shows. We will ask for your first and second choice preference of show and will do our best to make sure your free tickets are one of those. The rest of the tickets can be purchased online once we get closer to the show. A link will be given at a later date along with more information about how to do this.
